The coaches of former World Cup champs England and France didn't seem all that upset with their 1-1 draw at Euro 2012.
French coach Laurent Blanc told reporters that the oppressive heat on the pitch prevented his team to launch more aggressive attacks.
"It's a pity that we didn't win, but it's also good that we didn't lose. We weren't worthy of losing," said Blanc who led France to a 1998 World Cup and 2000 European championship.
England coach Roy Hodgson, who assumed leadership of the team just before the championship, apologized that his players played an overtly cautious game.
He argued that this was due to the fact that he had only coached the national team in 3 previous matches.
