Armenian Vice PM receives WB officials

Armenia's Vice PM, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan received on Wednesday a delegation from the World Bank.
According to a press release by the Ministry, WB Director for the South Caucasus Asad Alam is completing his mission in the region.
Thanking Alam for close and mutually beneficial cooperation, the deputy PM wished him success in his future endeavors and extended greetinga to the newly-appointed director, Henri Kerali.
Gevorgyan said that the WB-sponsored programs have been very effective and useful in the recent years. He noted particularly that most of them were targeted at promoting infrastructure development in different regions and communities, addressing such vital sectors as irrigation systems, healthcare and social issues, highway reconstruction etc.
The World Bank official thanked the Armenian authorities for collaboration, noting that the programs in Armenia permanently received a positive evaluation. He told the vice premier that he is leaving Armenia with good impressions, and wished the country progress and development in future.
Kerali promised in turn to maintain the high level of collaboration and continue the development programs with the Armenian authorities.
