Armenian leader presents reforms to European officials

Armenia's President, Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan had a working lunch with Elmar Brok, Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Ioannis Kasoulides, Vice-Chairman of the European People's Party (EPP) group in the European Parliament.The Armenian leader presented the reforms implemented in Armenia as well as further programs.The sides stressed that such meetings are good opportunities for exchanging views on consolidating ties and on the progress of Armenia's European integration policy and problems.The sides pointed out the importance of Armenia-EU parliamentary cooperation, as well as of cooperation within the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.The sides pointed out essential progress in the negotiations over the Armenia-EU association agreement, which is evidence of their willingness and common approaches to the key points.Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is participating in the EPP Summit in Brussels.La ter, he is scheduled to hold a meeting with EPP President Wilfried Martens.
