Armenian DM visits residents of bordering villages, wounded servicemen

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan was in Tavush June 7-8 where he visited the military bases and got acquainted with the operative situation, level of preparedness of servicemen implementing their military duty.
 
The minister was also interested in the moral-psychological situation, checked the reliability of engineering constructions.
 
According to the press service of the Defense Ministry, Ohanyan conducted a working consultation with the army's general staff.
 
The defense minister also met with the population of bordering villages. He stressed that the recent incidents on the border proved that any act of sabotage, any provocation will not remain unpunished. Seyran Ohanyan said the Armenian Armed Forces will do everything to prevent enemy's encroachments.
 
Within the framework of the visit the defense minister participated in the ceremony of unveiling memorial stone dedicated to the freedom fighters in the court of school of bordering Voskevan village. During the event a group of freedom fighters of Voskevan were awarded Republic of Armenia Armed Forces: 20 years anniversary medal.
 
The defense minister visited the servicemen wounded as a result of subversion act. He thanked them for conscientious service, bravery and wished them speeded-up recovery.
