Golden Apricot Yerevan 9th international film festival will present 150 films to the audience, festival program director Mikayel Stamboltsyan told a news conference today, saying the selection was rather complicated.
He said they have selected about 150 out of 1250 applications from 44 countries but their number may grow.
The number of films has always been the same because of limited places. "We are trying not to increase the number not to appear in a complicated situation," Stamboltsyan said.
According to him, the traditional 4 programs – Feature, Documentary, Apricot Stone and Armenian Panorama will be maintained with other films to be presented in Non-Competition program.
Golden Apricot international film festival will launch on July 8 and continue till July 15.
