The Armenian national team is going to play two friendly games in the next several days as part of their preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament commencing this fall.
Vardan Minasyan's team first travels to Austria where in Vienna on May 31 they are scheduled to play Euro-2004 winners and Euro-2012 finalists Greece before hosting Kazakhstan in Yerevan on June 5.
Both matches have aroused tremendous interest among fans in Armenia that is viewed by many as a rising soccer nation after the last international season in which the Highlanders showed mature play and were close to winning a Euro-2012 qualifying spot in their group.
