United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Armenia on June 4 as part of her European tour and in Yerevan will hold meetings with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
On the agenda of her talks in Yerevan will be issues concerning the development and deepening of the Armenian-American cooperation and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, other regional and international issues.
This will be the second visit of Clinton to the South Caucasus region in the capacity of Secretary of State. Her first visit was on July 4, 2010. From Armenia Clinton will travel to Georgia and then to Azerbaijan.
Experts note several key reasons for the U.S. secretary's visiting the South Caucasus, and one of them is the Iranian problem.
