Haykakan Zhamanak: Extended coalition expected after presidential elections

The paper writes about the coalition agreement signed in the head office of the ruling Republican party of Armenia between the leader of the Rule of Law party Arthur Baghdasaryan and ruling party's leader Serzh Sargsyan.

The paper says the text of the agreement is rather short with the main point being the support of joint presidential candidate – Serzh Sargsyan – at the coming presidential elections in Armenia. The paper says after the presidential elections a more extended coalition may be formed with the Heritage joining it.

Serzh Sargsyan is said to have discussed the issue with heads of other political forces. Spokesman for the Republican party has officially stated that Serzh Sargsyan is negotiating with other forces, in fact without ruling out that meeting with the leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovhannissyan took place.
