The festive mood has been dominating in the capital all day long.
A reception was conducted on April 22 at the Yerevan City Hall with the participation of Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan, delegates, writers, social, political figures.
The events launched with Tiran Siranyan’s ‘Buenos Ayres’ photo exhibition. Addressing to the present, President Sargsyan said Yerevan is the 12th city to become the World Capital of Book and in the year of 2012.
On the occasion of the holiday stamp cancelation ceremony was conducted. Haypost’s stamp has been officially named ‘500th anniversary of Armenia’s Typography: Yerevan – World Capital of Book’.
