A resident of Azerbaijan’s Sumgait town has been detained over charges of carrying women to Iran for purposes of sexual exploitation.
Citing Interior Ministry sources, the Azerbaijani news agency APA reported that the detained, Zeynab Guliyeva, is the head of an organized crime group engaged in women sex trafficking.
According to the Azerbaijani police, Gulieva’s father was detained under similar charges earlier this year.
