Vote 2012: “Majoritarian=?UTF-8?B?4oCdIA==?=candidates launch solo campaigns including allegations and accusations

Candidates running for "majoritarian" seats in the May 6 parliamentary election are mainly using media as campaign rallies. In addition to ninety seats determined by party election, 41 National Assembly seats are up for taking based on single candidate votes, each representing one district.

In Yerevan's Arabkir administrative district, Satik Seyranyan, editor of the 168 Zham newspaper is running under the slogan "Let's edit the National Assembly". The journalist has promised to expose cases of fraud in which one of her opponents, Republican-party backed Artak Sargsyan (owner of SAS supermarket chain) is alleged to have offered bribes for votes.

The same district seat is being contested by self-nominated Republican Armen Yepremyan, by Heritage's Zaruhi Postanjyan, by independent Alexan Minasyan and by head of All-Armenian National Movement party board Aram Manukyan.
