As 2015 marks the 100th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, Turkey is very probably elaborating steps ahead of the anniversary, says Hayk Demoyan, the director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
Speaking to Tert.am, the expert did not rule out the possibility that the country may open the border with Armenia by that time, the scenario being one of its possible gestures.
“I am sure the Turks will have a reserve scenario in 2015; or they may already have or be in the middle of elaborating one. I, for example, picture to myself that they will open border in 2015 and sell that to us and the world community in a well-packaged format,” he said, noting that the 100th anniversary is a symbolic border line which may mark the beginning rather than the end of everything.
