The fight against holding the Azerbaijani Film Festival in Armenia continues in northern provinces of the country, as a result of which on Monday morning a group of people throwing eggs and stones at the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly (HCA) Vanadzor Office, tried to hinder the show of the Azeri films.
After the failure of holding the Azerbaijani Film Festival in Gyumri a few days ago, festival organizer Georgi Vanyan, director of the Caucasus Center of Peace-Making Initiatives, decided to hold the festival in the regional center of the Lori province – at the HCA Vanadzor Office. This decision was opposed by a number of NGOs and local institutions of political forces in Vanadzor.
