Parties launch their campaign with Easter greetings (videos)

Most of the political parties running for election on May 6 have begun their televised campaign with Easter greetings.

Several parties had earlier announced they would postpone their election race until May 9, after the Resurrection Day.

In his address, the leader of the opposition Heritage party, Raffi Hovhannisyan, calls for thanking Armenia’s three presidents on this day and looking to the future.

Congratulating the Armenian families on Easter, Vahan Hovhannisyan of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaksutyun (ARF-D) says the coincidence of the Resurrection holiday with the first day of the political campaign could symbolize an election marking a turning point for the country.

According to him, each word in the ARF-D’s slogan – Freedom, Justice, Alliance – is exactly what the Armenian people need now.
