Republican Party member Samvel Farmanyan, who is running for parliament in electoral district No. 2 (Yerevan’s Nor Nork district), has addressed in his Facebook page his contestant, Vladimir Karapetyan’s repeating offers for the televised debate to which he has already given an agreement.
“Almost every day, I have to repeat some way or another that I have accepted the offer for the debate, and it is really strange to me to hear Mr Karapetyan say he is looking forward to my response,” he said.
The debate be broadcast live by Armnews TV channel on April 26.
The opposition Armenian National Congress (of which Karapetyan is a member) has been recently voicing complaints that the representatives of the ruling party avoid meeting them on air.
