According to media blogs and celebrity-gossip buzz, the world's most famous Armenian who has never been to Armenia wants to be "mayor" of Glendale, California a.k.a. "Yerevangeles".
Kim Kardashian quipped on her sister's "reality" TV show that she plans to run for "mayor" of Glendale "in, like, five years".
But, like, there's a problem.
Glendale doesn't elect a mayor. The city – home to Southern California's largest Armenian community – has a "weak" mayor form of government. A mayor is seated, but the position rotates based on votes within the council.
Would "city councilwoman" suit the porn-star, celeb-u-tant, TV omnipresence, hair-removal product spokesperson?
