Heritage party to create new Armenia, promises member

The Heritage party seeks to create a new Armenia that will give a central role to the human being and his rights, a lawmaker of the party has said.

At a news conference on Thursday, Stepan Safaryan of the opposition Heritage party faction in parliament unveiled their election platform, noting that their steps are based on a human-centered approach.

“A citizen’s right, state sovereignty, national interest – these are the principles our Armenia has to be built on,” he said.

The Heritage’s program, according to Safaryan, is divided into two parts, the first giving an assessment on the independent Armenia’s 21-year history and the second elaborating on the vision of the New Armenia.
