Heritage leader against joint headquarters deal

The leader of the opposition Heritage party, Raffi Hovhannisyan says they have refused to be involved in the activities of the joint headquarters expected to monitor the parliamentary election.

“The document on creating joint headquarters has to specify in which cases we have to congratulate, or apologize to one another. But that clause is missing. There is one real document, the Constitution; all the rest are supplementary political memorandums,” he said on Saturday at a meeting with the voters of Yerevan’s Nork-Marash district

Asked by Tert.am how he treats ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s yesterday’s statement that he does not understand Heritage’s position, Hovhannisyan said he only respects the first president.
