Bako Sahakyan attends tree planting event in Askeran region

As part of his working visit to the Askeran region earlier today, President of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic Bako Sahakyan attended a tree planting event in the vicinities of Ivanyan village.

According to a press release by the NKR presidential office, Sahakyan then left for Martakert to take part in the regional administration’s extended meeting. The event heard speeches by the head of the regional administration, Levon Chalyan, as well as community governors and chiefs of enterprises, and different officials.

Addressing the participants, the president said that the authorities keep the region under spotlight, considering its huge potential for development. He emphasized that the implementation of several strategically important projects would promote a progress both on the regional and state level. He then issued instructions for proper realization of planned activities.
