Armenian oppositionist complains of unequal race

A representative of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), Vladimir Karapeyan, has met with long-term observers of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to share his concerns over the current parliament race.

Karapetyan, who is running for election from a single-mandate constituency covering Yerevan’s Nor Nork district, reportedly complained to Ashild Falch and Skander Ben Mami, of unequal campaign conditions.

According to a press release by the ANC, he denied his contestant Samvel Farmanyan’s allegations that both candidates have been given equal opportunities for conducting their electoral race.

Karapetyan noted t particularly that a private company delays providing him with advertisement stands on the grounds that it needs a permission by the City Hall.
