The relationship between Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and the former speaker of the National Assembly, Hovik Abrahamyan, has taken an interesting turn, the paper has learned.
Referring to the premier’s recent tour to Syunik region as part of the ruling Republican Party’s pre-election campaign, it says the ex speaker is now planning a visit there.
The author of the report wonders why Abrahamyan, who is now the chief of the Republican’s campaign headquarters, preferred to go alone
Speaking to the paper Hovhannes Sahakyan of the Republican Party faction in parliament said he sees nothing strange about that.
“Syunik too, is one of our regions, so there’s nothing strange about that. Visits are carried out periodically,” he was quoted as saying.
