US Ambassador to Armenia John Haffern has delivered a new video address, focusing this time on the Nagorno-Karabakh, and particularly possibilities of reconciliation between the Armenians and Azerbaijani nations.
The diplomat said that he and his wife recently watched a movie on the theme, which featured a Nagorno-Karabakh story. The specific idea of the film, according to Haffern, is that the people of Armenia and Azerbaijan are similar in many ways, with similar family needs, similar family ties and similar family sadnesses and sorrows. The ambassador said he later discussed the topic with high school students in Yerevan and received various responses.
