One of Armenia leading factories has announced an upgrade to its production.
The Armenal aluminum plant, owned by Russia-based Rusal, plans a $6 million modernization over the next two years, according to a company press release.
Founded in 2000, Armenal is the only foil producer in the Caucasus and Central Asia. Rusal is the worlds largest producer of foil. When the improvements are completed, the Yerevan plant will have a capacity of 33.6 tons of foil per year.
