As part of his official visit to Belgium, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with the leader of the European People’s Party (EPP), Wilfried Martens.
According to a press release by the Presidential Office, Sargsyan considered the meeting a good occasion for exchanging ideas over the strengthening of cross-party ties and discussing Armenia’s efforts towards European integration.
The president once again thanked Martens for his personal assistance in the Armenian political parties’ (especially the Republican’s) efforts to join the EPP.
Sargsyan further addressed the Armenia-EU dialogue and the outcomes of his Brussels visit, as well as regional issues and the upcoming parliamentary polls in Armenia.
