Prosperous Armenia Party Selects Candidates for Parliamentary Seats under Majority System

The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) has nearly settled the matter of nominating candidates under the majoritarian system for the upcoming parliamentary election, BHK lawmaker Naira Zohrabyan informed local daily Yerkir, refusing, however, to name names.

According to her, nominations of the BHK candidates will begin on Mar. 17 during the party’s congress.

Zohrabyan stressed that the list of the party’s candidates contesting a parliamentary seat under the proportional representation system will most likely not be announced during the congress.

“We have no reason to rush — we will present the list to the Central Elections Commission by Mar. 22,” she said.  Read more... (146 words)
