The OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) has announced the start of a monitoring mission in Armenia's May parliamentary elections.

At a press conference in Yerevan on Thursday, Radmila Sekerinska, the leader of the OSCE/ODIHR mission, said it will comprise 13 election experts, 24 long-term and some 250 short-term observers. The latter will be deployed on the eve of the elections to watch voting and ballot counting.
