More than 300 Armenian women fought in Karabakh

The Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) liberation war took to the battlefield more than 300 Armenian women, of whom 42 died, according to Aida Serobyan, the president of Women Freedom Fighters Union.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Serobyan said that the women heroes and their families do not receive proper attention by the state now.

“They say a woman is not supposed to go to the battlefield. But if one’s home country is under threat. all are obliged to take up arms and fight for their nation and motherland,” she said.
