Armenian Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan has voiced support for the continued struggle of green activists against the construction in a Yerevan park, but he also urged them to abstain from action on dismantling the pavilions by themselves.
The press service of the Ombudsman's Office said on Wednesday that Andreasyan is ready to cooperate with the activists in finding a legal solution to the problem.
Earlier, the civil movement protesting the installation of boutiques in the park off the Armenian capital's central Mashtots Boulevard addressed an open letter to Chief of Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan, saying that 10 activists are going to start dismantling the pavilions on March 31. They also asked Gasparyan to ensure public order and security of the activists.
