le=”text-align: justify; “>The United Workers Party’s (UWP) statement on an alliance with the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is not an alliance, but an instance of one party absorbing another.
“Experience shows that such alliances are not viable. The UWP leader just got a place in the PAP,” Alexander Arzumanyan, a member of the Free Democrats party, told journalists on Thursday.
Mkrtchich Minasyan of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), said that this step is one of the ways to a full-fledged political arena.
“Of course, there must be an ideological basis for that. It would be much better if political forces united and we would have a few parties,” he said.
