Elections one more test for Armenia

le=”text-align: justify; “>Armenia is going to face one more test, namely, elections, Petros Makeyan, Chairman of the Democratic Homeland party, told journalists on Friday.

“All the parties are actively preparing for elections. Representatives of the ruling circles are visiting Armenia’s regions, trying to explain why they have failed to keep their promises given five years ago. The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) launched its public activities by holding a mass rally,” he said.

Makeyan is sure that the forthcoming parliamentary elections will differ from the previous elections due to serious competition.
“The forthcoming elections are going to take place in the context of presidential elections. This is the reason why Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will top the list of the Republican Party of Armenia,” Makeyan said. Armenia’s authorities are most seriously preparing for the elections.
