Armenian, French anti-trust bodies sign memorandum

The State Committee for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the French antitrust watchdog.

The document is aimed at expanding bilateral relations between the two countries’ antitrust bodies, promoting economic development and competition, and ensuring equal conditions for French and Armenian companies.

The chief of the Committee, Artak Shaboyan, thanked his French counterpart, Bruno Laser, for his efforts to deepen cooperation.

“France is Armenia’s key trade and economic partner. There are currently 155 Armenian-French joint registered companies. We in Armenia have successful investments from French companies. A favorable competitive environment is highly essential for boosting foreign investments,” he said.
