PM Speaks: Birthrate, poverty among concerns cited by Government Head

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stated that Armenia has an aging population, the reason of which is the decrease in birthrate, as well as about one million Armenians' migration from Armenia within the recent years.

Premier Sargsyan addressed the issue during an economic seminar of the ruling coalition's Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Sunday, when he also voiced his concerns over the poverty level in Armenia, as well as economic risks.

The industrial development strategy of RPA was presented during the seminar, introduced to the representatives of the Government, the business sector, and the parliamentary opposition – Heritage and Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF, 'Dashnaktsutyun') parties.
