Iranian university students and professors signed a petition on Wednesday to condemn “Britain’s animosities and hostile positions against Tehran” and called for severance of all relations with London.
According to the Iranian Farce News Agency, the petition which was signed on the sidelines of a ceremony to commemorate the ‘(University) Students Day’ in Iran on Wednesday, said, “The British government has hatched plots and implemented several coups, assassinations, threats and seditions against the Iranian nation.”
The Iranian academics in their petition reminded London’s threats of waging a military attack against Tehran and imposing sanctions on the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), and said since having relations with Britain is fruitless, “we demand a full cut of relations with this vicious arrogant government and ask for filing international complaint against the crimes of this government against the Iranian nation”.
