Armenia's ruling coalition to decide on election system

le=”text-align: justify;”>At a press briefing in Sept. 13, Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan stated that the coalition must decide on the election system it will prefer during the forthcoming elections – single-member or proportional representation. “We will prefer the best option for the three political parties,” Abrahamyan said.

The coalition forces have no disagreements over the issue – at least for the present. The will do their best to prevent any disagreements in the future. After discussions, the coalition will make a final decision, Abrahamyan said.

As regards his personal opinion, he said he will express it two or three month before the elections.
