Yerevan to import 80 buses from China

Around 80 buses are going to be imported to Yerevan from China, the head of Yerevan Municipality’s Department of Transportation has said.

At a news conference on Friday, Henrik Nasvsradyan said the Yerevan Municipality has signed the deal with China’s government, agreeing to import buses instead of the implementation of the Armenian-Chinese grant program.

The municipality’s new concept envisages increasing the number of small and medium-size buses to 800-850, enhancing the effectiveness of transportion, Navasardyan said.

He also added that the Municipality has defined the parameters of the vehicles to be imported.
