Last week, Members of the US Congress joined with Armenian-American community members at the annual Capitol Hill Armenian Genocide Commemoration in the Senate Kennedy Caucus Room.
According to a press release by the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA), the event was spearheaded by the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues. Chuck Yessaian Jr. served as master of ceremonies with the opening prayer offered by Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Eastern United States, and the closing prayer offered by Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, Diocesan Legate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Eastern United States.
