Tumanyan=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s “A Drop of Honey=?UTF-8?B?4oCd?= published in Turkey

A fairy tale by an outstanding Armenian writer has been published in Armenian and Turkish languages in Turkey.

According to the Turkish news agency Haberturk, “A Drop of Honey” by Hovhannes Tumanyan was published in the town of Suri, Diyarbakir, south-eastern Turkey.

The move comes as part of an initiative called “One Fairy Tale for One Night” by Abdullah Demirbash, the Mayor of the Suri.

Demirbash has said that with that initiative the local authorities intend to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of all the languages of the minorities living in their region.

The presentation of the book was attended by the Diyarbakir-based Armenian writer Mkrtich Markosyan. Several Kurdish intellectuals also attended the event.
