Reading to remember: YSU presents a dozen books on Genocide

Ahead of another anniversary of the Armenian Genocide to be marked this Sunday the Yerevan State University (YSU) has published a dozen new books on the subject related to Ottoman-era massacres of Armenians.

The books refer to the genocidal policies of Ottoman rulers in Western Armenia, now Turkey, around the year 1915, presenting the relevant historical background. They are written in different genres, such as historiography, diaries, novels, and collections of records.

"These books summarize the grief and sorrow and the scream of anger of the Armenian people," said YSU Rector Aram Simonyan (right).
