Armenia’s president has hailed the decision of a group of UK MPs to visit Armenia and Karabakh and get familiarized with the situation there personally.
According to a press release by Armenia’s presidential administration, at a meeting with the delegation of UK MPs on Tuesday, headed by Baroness Caroline Cox, Serzh Sargsyan said he highly appreciates their visits.
Sargsyan also said that parliamentary delegations play an “extremely significant” role in enhancing relations between the two countries.
Further, Serzh Sargsyan said their visit to Karabakh will enable them to get familiarized with the situation there on the spot.
The statement further said that the UK MPs expressed willingness to contribute to strengthening of ties as much as possible.
