One step forward, two steps back?: Economists criticize government over Q1 results

Economist Tatul Manaseryan, talking about the zero percent economic growth registered in the first quarter of the year said that he was happy that at least no decline was registered.

"Quite an interesting tendency for 'drawing figures' at the beginning of the year is noticed at the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

If we carefully examine especially the agricultural sector, we will see that in February as compared with January this year a 26 percent rise was registered, and in March, as compared with February – 21 percent. Since the beginning of the year someone wanted to do those who are responsible for the sphere a disservice.
