Ombudsman has misunderstood us, says opposition bloc

Armenia’s main opposition alliance has said that Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan has misunderstood opposition’s position over a dialogue with authorities.

In a statement released late on Monday, the Armenian National Congress (HAK) said that by saying a dialogue it did not mean one between the HAK and parliamentary coalition, but rather with the executive body.

“The Human Rights Defender has misunderstood the meaning of dialogue as it refers not to the dialogue to be forged between the Congress [HAK] and the parliamentary coalition, but rather between the Congress and the executive power,” read the statement.  Read more... (227 words)
