Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan visited Vernisage Saturday to check up what improvements were made there and told journalists that the work done is unsatisfactory.
It comes after he gave instructions to the renter of the area last week to improve the conditions there and follow hygiene rules.
“The main problems we have set are preservation of green areas and creation of normal hygiene conditions which our colleague has promised to do,” said Karapetyan.
Vernisage is an open market in downtown Yerevan that sells various and items, including art works.
Last week Karapetyan complained about the conditions in Vernisage, saying those selling their goods there have “occupied the green areas.”
