Lindsay Lohan has been jailed after a judge ruled she had violated her probation from a drink-driving case.
According to the M&C, Judge Stephanie Sautner told the Mean Girls star she must serve 120 days in county jail and complete 480 hours of community service as punishment for the violation.
The actress, however, spent just five hours in custody before being released on bail while her lawyer prepares to appeal the decision.
Lohan, 24, was ordered to jail following a hearing at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles, California.
The actress, who is accused of stealing a gold necklace from a jewellery boutique in Venice, California, on January 22, sat quietly in court while a judge debated whether there was enough evidence for her to stand trial for theft.
