Japan government approves $50bn for aid

The Japanese Government has approved an Emergency budget of nearly 50 billion dollars to help the country recover from last month’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, APN News reported.

It will be spent on temporary housing, repairing ports and roads and also for removing wreckage. The government has promised not to increase borrowing to fund the emergency budget.
