In memory of victims: 1.5 million trees will be planted throughout Armenia

Last Saturday, the World Armenian Congress (WAC) and the Union of Armenians in Russia (UAR) held a campaign 'In Commemoration of the Innocent Victims' and planted trees outside the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

President of the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian Congress, Ara Abrahamyan said that WAC and UAR have initiated the 'In Commemoration of the Innocent Victims' campaign since 2010. It is planned to plant 1.5 million trees throughout Armenia before the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide committed in 1915 in Ottoman Turkey, which will symbolize the 1.5 million victims during the Genocide.
