ukhoi Juperjet 100 plane belonging to Armenia’s national air carrier Armavia made its first landing at Zvartnots Airport on Tuesday.
Sukhoi Juperjet 100s will be used for the first time in Armenia’s history of aviation.
Armavia purchased this jet after six others tested.
According to Armavia’s Executive Director Norayr Belluyan, the second such plane will be brought to Armenia in June this year, while three others will be bought in the upcoming two years.
It comes after reports that the first plane by Sukhoi was expected to be purchased by Aeroflot. Talking to Tert.am, Belluyan, however, said that those reports were untrue.
He also dismissed the rumors about the technical conditions of these planes.
