Bureaucracy will be reduced in tax and customs administration

The 2011-2013 improvements project in Armenia’s tax and costumes administration will reduce bureaucracy, Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council has said.

At a press conference on Saturday Arthur Baghdasaryan said that the project was approved at a Security Council meeting on Friday.

“Inspections will significantly be reduced in the country, with a joint electronic declaration and payment system to be introduced,” said Baghdasaryan, adding that 5000 enterprises have already joined the system.

“Bureaucracy will significantly be reduced in tax and customs agencies,” said he, adding that the communication between the state and enterprises will be minimized under the new project.

The project has been designed taking into account the best world experience in the sector and with the assistance of an EU advisory group and.
