Armenian Genocide has no limitation period - expert

The Armenian Genocide is a grave crime against humanity, that has no limitation period, says an Armenian expert.

In an interview with Tert.am, Suren Manukyan, the Vice Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum- Institute, said that the 100th anniversary of the tragic crime will not change anything in genocide recognition and condemnation efforts.

“The Armenian Genocide is among the gravest crimes against humanity, that does not have a limitation period. And its 100th anniversary cannot change anything, as a matter of fact,” he said. “The recognition and condemnation of the Armenian genocide and the elimination of its consequences is a legal rather than a moral issue.”
