Armenia has 3, 262,600 people permanently living in country

As of January 1, 2011, the number of those permanently residing in Armenia was 3, 262,600 permanent residents were registered in Armenia, according to the National Statistical Service.

Out of this number, 2,088,5,00 live in urban areas, and 1,174,100 – in rural areas.

The least populated region is Vayots Dzor, with 56,000 residents. Armavir has the largest number of people – 285,800. The population in the capital city of Yerevan is 1,121,900.
