Armenia’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Georgia Hovhannes Manukyan attended an exhibition dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Titled “An Exhibition of Recollections” the exhibit portrayed photos, documents, household items and other materials remained in the Tbilisi-based families which fell victim to the 1915-1923 atrocities perpetrated by Ottoman Turks.
According to a press release by Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, the event, organized by the Assembly of Tbilisi Armenians, was held at the Georgian State Museum of Literature after G. Leonidze on April 21.
The exhibit comes as part of a series of events the Georgian-Armenian community is organizing to commemorate the Armenian Genocide ahead of April 24 – the day when Armenians worldwide pay tribute to memory of more than 1.5 million Armenians that were either slaughtered or death marched.
